Starting next week we are going to feature a "Photo Of The Day" on the home page.
Each week will be a different theme. Skyler recommended that we do a holiday them first, I think that's a good idea. So if you have photos on this site already related to the holidays, just click the option button above your photo, click edit tags and type in the word "holiday" (you don't have to use hash tags) you can add tags to your photos when you upload just separate them with commas like you would do on a blog post.
What kind of themes do you think we should do next?
Comment by Raquel (@acertainmoment) on December 6, 2012 at 7:59pm I would suggest to consider as theme "sound"...! there are images you can hear, also! just one thought...

I like that idea, I would like to start making a list of different themes. If you can would you send me a message on here with some suggestions. :) And make sure you tag your photos!
Comment by Nei Cruz (@n_cruz) on December 12, 2012 at 4:05pm Love the idea! And I'd add "Portraits" to the list. Portraits are not popular and deserves more attention. Cheers
Comment by Josh St.Germain @pavingapril on December 19, 2012 at 5:22pm Different color themes are always fun. It's cool to see how people "find" these colors and highlight them. Plus it gives you a bunch of themes to use in the future as you go through each color.

Oooh fab. Great ideas for themes already suggested up there. Will check back later and try and think of a few more.

Simple themes off the top of my head: colour, lines, shapes, light, shadows, silhouettes, portraits, relationships, street, architecture, nature, night, specific emotions, alone/solitude, strength, childhood, old age, water, stone/rock, texture, abstract, movement, jump, weather, season, the little things, negative space, specific perspectives, specific apps, layering, blending.... I'll stop there.
I set challenges for a group on IG and once or twice have used quotes as the theme. EG ‘Rejoice with your family in the beautiful land of life’ (Albert Einstein), ‘When you photograph people in color you photograph their clothes. But when you photograph people in black & white you photograph their souls’ (Ted Grant). Not suggesting you use these, just included by way of further explanation.
Bye :)

In an effort to combat the need for stock imagery within the AMPt community, the idea of this album was born. With that being said, I thought it a good idea to provide an "AMPt Stock Imagery" album in which all the members could contribute as they…Continue

I guess a discussion about Oggl is appropriate in the Hipstamatic category, since they are brother aps, or weird cousins or something. Has anybody been trying it out the last couple of weeks?A few quick observations from me, I've been using it all…Continue

Hello everyone, I decided to have a go at Exposure this year. Not to be self-deprecating, but it is unlikely I will get anything. However, I would like to have a go at the People's Choice Award, and as well all know, that requires garnering…Continue

Has anyone replaced vsco with the ag app? I love vsco but it takes so long to save, the russ filter is close to vsco's number 5 which is my favorite and with a little fade I can get it close. Just curious...Continue
